UCI Integrative Health Institute Clinical Research Coordinator

Your Role on the Team Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Manager and the Director of Clinical Research Operations, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating clinical research and clinical trials in the Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute (SSIHI). Research conducted in SSIHI includes complementary and integrative health interventions such as acupuncture, therapeutic massage, meditation, yoga, tai chi as well as music based-interventions. The incumbent is also responsible for the timely and accurate collection and coordination of data submission to study sponsors ensuring quality control and leading to timely milestone payments. This includes responsibility for the collection, compilation, and transcription of research patient data and study-related information into case report forms (CRFs) and/or sponsor specific electronic data capture systems (EDC). S/he will work with the clinical research team to manage and collect accurate data and assist the Principal Investigator, team members, and study coordinators for all data management aspects of ongoing clinical research studies. The incumbent may also be responsible for maintaining communication with all elements of a multi-level research network, interacting with community partners, interacting with sponsoring agencies and compliance and regulatory groups such as the Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and sponsor monitors. In addition, this individual must accurately maintain clinical trial information in the clinical trial management system (OnCore) and adhere to institutional policies. The incumbent will be required to work at the UCI campus in Irvine.

Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with clinical research. Knowledge with various types of human subject clinical trials i.e., National Group, Industrial, and Investigator-authored. Experience with clinical trial management systems, preferably OnCore. BA/BS or equivalent experience. 1-3 years experience with human clinical trials. Preferred: SoCRA or ACRP Certification. Special Conditions: Some after business hours and occasional weekends.
