Our team works extensively with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Lacerte Tax Preparation software , and we are seeking an Experienced Tax Preparer / Staff Accountant who is comfortable working with these platforms while supporting a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients. This is a full‐time, in‐office role ideal for candidates who thrive in a collaborative, detail‐driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Tax Preparation (Primary Focus)
Prepare tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, S‐Corps, LLCs, and Partnerships
Review prepared returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Respond to tax notices and communicate with clients professionally
Provide proactive tax planning and strategic recommendations
Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities
Utilize Lacerte Tax Preparation software for return preparation and review
Bonus: Experience with Non‐Profit, Estate, or Trust returns
Accounting Support (Secondary Focus)
Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Prepare financial statements; assist with payroll and sales tax filings
Review financials for consistency and accuracy
Support clients with bookkeeping and compliance needs
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in tax preparation and accounting
Proven ability to lead tax review and manage client projects independently
EA or CTEC‐Registered Tax Preparer preferred
Lacerte Tax Preparation experience a plus
Strong communication, organization, and client‐service skills
Spanish bilingual ability a plus
